Science
At North Hinksey we believe that Science should be treated as an enquiry based subject where children experience an immersive practical science curriculum while developing their natural curiosity for how the world works. Science is discretely taught in blocks and revisited through interleaving across other curriculum subjects.
Our curriculum is designed to enable children to explore and discover from first hand experiences whilst securing and extending scientific knowledge and vocabulary. The children revisit the following threshold concepts as part of our spiral curriculum:
