The School Day

The school gates open at 8.39am with register taken at 8.50am promptly. The school day ends at 3.10pm. This is a total of 31 hours and 40 minutes per week.

We expect every child to attend school every day, and be punctual every day. Our Attendance Policy can be found by clicking here.

Any planned absence from school must be requested in advance and we expect such requests to be for exceptional circumstances only. Absence request forms are available from the school office and must be completed in full and returned for the attention of the Headteacher. Please note that holidays are not authorised during term time under any circumstance. We expect routine medical appointments, including dental, to be taken outside of the school day.

​Illness

If you decide your child is too ill to attend school please report this on ParentMail by 9.00am. If a child is not at school, and their absence has not been reported on ParentMail, the school office will contact you by 9.15am asking you to confirm where your child is.

If your child has a temperature,  and you are controlling the temperature with medication (e.g. Calpol), please keep them at home until the temperature has gone completely and does not require medication.

If your child becomes ill at school we will contact you to arrange collection.
